Squeaky Noise In My Attic

Sounds like silent knock on the attic. Climb the ladder remove the access panel and enter the attic. These are located in the track where the pipe coming out of the roof meets the spinning part of the vent. Find the noisy turbine and apply the lubricant to the moving parts of the turbine.

Place the stepladder under the attic access space. Every morning between the hours of about 7 30 8 30 there is a persistent type of squeaking from the attic above my bed. We do have a tile roof and 6 year old house. High pitched squeals or a grinding noise from a furnace or an air conditioner could mean that a moving part is not moving the way it should and requires quick action.

I have looked in the attic for things such as droppings etc looked outside for things like vents coming from the roof but there is nothing. This can cause the fan to start making constant noise and in some cases even a loud squealing sound. Twice i heard noise in the attic above my bedroom. If this is the main attic noise you ve been hearing it could be mice.

Be sure to lubricate the bearings. But when we opened the cabinet where the vent goes up in the stove we found a hole as big as a golf ball. The bad news is once inside mice tend to reproduce quickly causing an infestation before you even knew it was happening. No sign of vent damage.

Wall or attic sounds. The air vent in my room is no where near the noise and the noise is not coming from a ceiling fan. Remove the current worn out bearings and replace them.
